Apprenticeship Manager

An excellent opportunity has arisen to work for our established client in Reading as an Apprenticeship Manager. The main purpose of the role is to recruit and support apprentices whilst supporting employers to ensure apprentices thrive in their roles. Please note, this is a part time position working 20 hours per week (increasing to 25) across 3 days. £34,000 full time equivalent, £18,200 pro-rata.

As the Apprenticeship Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Recruit, induct, and support candidates to ensure the apprentice thrives in the workplace and at college / or training provider.
  • Regularly monitor progress in placement with the employer and college / training provider.
  • Gaining constructive feedback on the apprentice and apprenticeship scheme.
  • Visit sites quarterly and engage in face-to-face performance meetings.
  • Liaising with training providers to monitor apprentice attendance.
  • Identify market opportunities to be passed to businesses development.
  • Attending careers fairs.

The successful People Development Manager will have the following related skills / experience:

  • Experience in identifying, recruiting, and managing apprenticeships / work placements.
  • Experience of employer engagement.
  • Excellent organisational, planning, and prioritising skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
