Senior Legal Cashier

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Legal Cashier with previous experience to join a high-performing team within a unique and acclaimed law firm. The successful candidate will be responsible for the accurate management and operation of the client account, becoming a vital member of our esteemed legal practice.

Day to Day of the role:

Manage incoming and outgoing electronic client account transactions.

Post client to office transfers and client to client transfers.

Handle the posting of client account interest and sending of electronic payments.

Conduct bank statement reconciliations and log cheques received onto an Excel spreadsheet.

Post and pay counsel's fee notes onto the purchase ledger system and process staff expenses.

Supervise and train junior legal cashiers, assisting with matter ledger enquiries and ad hoc duties.

Process bills, with training provided if necessary.

Potentially post office overheads and credit cards, depending on skillset.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

In-depth knowledge of Solicitors' Accounts Rules.

Solid experience in a Legal Cashiering role within a legal firm.

Exceptional ability to work under pressure and outstanding organisational skills.

Excellent knowledge of legal-specific finance systems, with P4W (Partner for Windows) preferred.

Professional and friendly manner with the ability to work with a wide range of individuals.

Excellent written and spoken English, including spelling and grammar.
