Bookkeeping Accounts Assistant

position based in their Glasgow (Hillington) location. This is permanent position with immediate start avaialble.

Salary:

  • £26000 - £30000 (depends on experience) + benefits & overtime.

Locations/Hours:

  • This is a permanent full-time role. Working days are Monday – Friday and start time can be either 8am or 9am with finish time 4.30pm or 5.30pm respectively.
  • The premises are just outside of Glasgow however this role attracts the benefits of home working – exact details to be agreed with successful candidate.

Daily duties:

  • Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger entries;
  • Process invoices, expense reports and weekly pay-runs;
  • Reconcile bank statements/supplier statements;
  • Credit control;
  • Support payroll processing;
  • Collaborate with internal teams/external parties to resolve financial discrepancies and inquiries;
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close procedures.

Skills / Knowledge:

  • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and practices;
  • Experience with accounting software and MS Excel;
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills;
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with Sage is advantageous
