  • Job Type: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week. Monday - Friday

My client are looking for a Medical Workforce Business Partner to provide a comprehensive, highly specialist, and high-quality operational service to all medical and dental staff within the Trust. This role requires consistent application of policies and procedures and adherence to National Terms and Conditions of Service. The successful candidate will work closely with Senior Medical staff and the Medical Director, supporting the Medical Director's role as Responsible Officer for the Trust.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Provide specialist advice on all aspects of medical recruitment, selection, on-boarding, and compliance with job planning for Consultant and SAS grades.
  • Coordinate and lead on appraisal and revalidation for all medical staff grades.
  • Act as the first point of contact for doctors, service users, and internal/external stakeholders.
  • Line manage the Band 5 Medical Workforce Assistant and support their development.
  • Deliver expert advice on Medical and Dental Terms and Conditions of Service and complex medical workforce issues.
  • Advise on and facilitate medical recruitment processes, including Advisory Appointment Committees.
  • Monitor junior doctors' exception reports and liaise with the Guardian of Safe Working.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment legislation and medical terms and conditions.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate/Master's Degree level education or equivalent practical experience in medical workforce.
  • Substantial relevant experience in medical workforce.
  • Experience producing complex reports and working with Excel.
  • Ability to work independently and to tight deadlines.
  • Proficient in IT software systems, including Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of Medical & Dental Terms and Conditions of Service and European Working Time Directive.
  • Excellent problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Highly organised with excellent time management skills.
