Credit Controller

My client is seeking a Credit Controller with a minimum of 2 years of experience to manage their credit control and cash collection processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely resolution of queries and maintaining key relationships within the finance division and business line leaders. This role requires a strategic and results-driven individual with strong Excel skills.
Day to Day of the Role:
- Full responsibility for cash collection for the assigned ledger.
- Managing and resolving disputes to assist in cash collection within agreed turnaround times.
- Weekly monitoring and management of bad/aged debt alongside business line leads and finance business partners.
- Reporting on high-risk customers and maintaining the ledger, including unallocated cash, write-off proposals, and credit balances.
- Processing accounts to external debt collection agencies where appropriate.
- Performing account reconciliations as necessary.
- Consistently reviewing 180+ day accounts and escalating in line with internal processes.
- Monitoring credit limit alerts from external agencies to mitigate risk.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of credit control experience.
- Proficient in Excel, including pivot tables and intermediate formulas.
- Ideally studying for or have obtained ICM qualification.
- Strong analytical skills with commercial acumen.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
