We are a small forestry team of 5, all with different skill sets, working closely together. We work in a supportive learning environment helping one another to make our forestry operations the best they can be. Joining as the fifth person you'll assist in working towards our annual work programme across the Southern Lakes. There are a variety of woodland tasks to deal with on a daily basis, from large thinning operations to storm damage to repairing woodland boundaries.

Tree disease is a real current threat to the UK trees and woods. Our forestry teams have been vital in responding to the spread across the Lake District in an effort to reduce the spread and impact. This role will require a skill set which can be applied across all aspects in forestry work. Tree felling is almost a daily task. Tree extraction is also a regular operation using a tractor & winch. The team also react to any emergency tree works such as storm damage. Repairing fences and walls, damaged by trees is also a requirement of the role.
