We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our successful pharmaceutical sales team as a Key Account Manager.

Your job will be to grow our business through increasing market share, whilst carefully managing existing business. Pharmaceuticals is a focused growth area for Univar so you can expect to be responsible for managing key accounts, developing strategically important supplier portfolios and collaborating across Europe and the world.

This role is predominantly field-based. Working from home with a trip to the office every couple of months and seeing customers each week. The area you will cover is North of the UK and Scotland.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Achievement of agreed sales and margin budgets and delivering business reports
+ Growth in customer numbers and product penetration
+ Exceeding customer expectations
+ Compliance to all company procedures and legislative requirements
+ Promoting our value proposition to all customers as a platform for growth
+ Developing, managing and delivering a credible sales pipeline
+ Growing the diversity and depth of our relationships with customers across all key functions including purchasing, technical and quality departments
+ Understanding and keeping abreast of industry and market trends
+ Working with corporate sales teams as required

We Are Looking For:

+ Hold a strong business acumen and a proven sales or commercial track record are essential
+ A drive and passion for sales and customer development
+ Naturally industrious and organised
+ Able to work effectively and be able to prioritise and multitask
+ Prepared to take ownership and meaningful action
+ Positive and inquisitive by nature
+ Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills
+ The ability to develop your technical / application knowledge is essential
+ Previous experience in the industry (chemicals / ingredients selling) is desirable
