Education Support Assistant

Join our pastoral team as an Education Support Assistant at Mangotsfield School, a rapidly improving institution with a strong community focus. This role is crucial in planning and delivering targeted interventions for KS4 students requiring additional support to achieve their personal aspirations and maintain high expectations.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Plan and deliver targeted interventions to identified KS4 students.
- Work with students to help them identify their personal aspirations and maintain high expectations.
- Support students working independently on core subjects and provide mentoring interventions.
- Accompany students to off-site activities as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proactive, resourceful, and committed to securing high standards for all young people.
- Up-to-date knowledge and commitment to recent training in SEND interventions, literacy, or numeracy.
- Good communication and organisational skills for liaising with parents, outside agencies, and students.
- Compassion, patience, and confidence to work with secondary students in KS4.
- Good standard of education with proficiency in English and Maths.
- Experience working with young people with SEND is essential; SEND-specific qualifications are desirable.
