Our Client based in Rushden is looking for a Yard Engineer to join their existing team.
The purpose of this position is to ensure the smooth running of our clients busy storage yard particularly that all orders are correctly loaded and dispatched and checked back in on return from hire. It will also involve assisting service engineers in routine maintenance so some mechanical experience is an advantage.
The candidate will be required to work as an individual or as part of a team, in order to provide the following (but not limited to)-
- Loading and Unloading of all Equipment
- PDI's and Off Hire Inspections
- Dispatch paperwork
- To be responsible for the appearance of equipment
- To assist in routine maintenance of generators and accessories
- To maintain the yard in an orderly manner
- To be responsible for stores and stock control
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather
The successful applicant will be able to drive a telehandler where some mechanical knowledge and experience would be beneficial. They will be self-motivated and be able to safely work both alone or as part of a team, in compliance with all current Health and Safety regulations and Company policies. A clean driving licence is essential.
This position offers possible advancement for the right person within the service team over time. The successful applicant will be required to demonstrate an ability to contribute to and work flexibly as part of a small team.
