Product Manager

We are currently seeking an experienced Product Manager to join a well-established, family-run SME based in Gloucester. You will be responsible for all aspects of product management including defining the product vision, managing it through the product lifecycle, managing product data and literature, keeping up to date with the relevant regulations, working with engineering and operations to help integrate new products into the product portfolio.

A key part of the role is also working with the new product development team to manage new product ideas through the commercial stages of the product development process, which includes managing the new product idea pipeline, gathering market data & customer feedback, working closely with marketing to define the marketing strategy for new product launches.

KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Market evaluation to support new NPD pipeline
  • Set pricing in line with market
  • Set financial performance goals
  • Work closely with marketing and provide them with the necessary technical content
  • Manage internal and external customer request for product design changes
  • Ensure documentation and web content is up to date
  • Manage product data
  • Manage applications for third party product certifications
  • Evaluate and report on product performance by range
  • Drive product improvement projects (such as cost reduction, performance / range enhancement, adaption to new regulations)
  • Mentor and support a junior product manager

Requirements

  • 3+ years commercial and technical experience relating to cold water boosting systems, wastewater pumping systems or general mechanical and electrical equipment relating to the building services or water industry.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Willingness to develop a deep technical understanding of the products and their applications
  • Commercially astute
