Fabulous role available working for a well know animal shelter who are looking for a branch administrator to join their super lovely team. This is an ongoing temporary contract in a part time capacity with the majority of the role being remote working with weekly site visits within the Essex Southwest Branch.

As part time this role will be 10-15 hours weekly Monday-Friday, (preferably Wednesday, Thursday Friday if possible) with the daily hours between 10am-4pm with some degree of flexibility.

With this role you be providing essential administrative support to ensure everything runs smoothly. Here are some of the main responsibilities but not limited to:

  • Management of the branch in-box dealing with triage emails, replying, or delegating to relevant parties & answering general branch enquiries
  • Creating records for all branch pets
  • Management of the administration for the fostering and adoption processes including animal welfare check ins
  • Streamlining processes & policies
  • Provide administrative supporting the recruitment and on-boarding of volunteers
  • Assist in the maintenance of and promotion of branch memberships

For this role we are looking for someone who has an interest in animal welfare along with proficiency in Excel and use of spreadsheets. You will have good verbal and written communication skills along with high attention to detail. This role would really suit someone who perhaps has experience working administration within a vet or even has had cats as pets in the past so is used the vernacular.

This role will require weekly onsite visits within the Chingford area of Essex so you must be able to travel back & forth easily. You must also be available in a long-term ongoing capacity so this would really suit someone who is perhaps looking to work during school hours or looking for work alongside any current projects.
