We are recruiting on behalf of a top-tier global law firm for a permanent Financial Accountant role based in London. This position is ideal for newly qualified accountants or those with 1-2 years of post-qualification experience trained in a Big 4 firm
**About the Role
As a Group Financial Accountant, you will play a crucial role in the Finance team, contributing to the firm's success by providing high-quality financial information and driving business improvements. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, supporting the global finance function and implementing best practices across the firm.
**Key Group Financial Accountant Responsibilities
- Produce weekly financial reports for management.
- Deliver month-end group consolidation and reporting within tight deadlines.
- Prepare inter-company invoices for cross-border transactions.
- Reconcile multi-currency GL accounts and critical balances.
- Conduct monthly accounting checks on overseas office balance sheets.
- Produce high-quality regular and ad-hoc financial information for senior management.
- Assist with mid-year audit activities and control reviews.
- Perform ad-hoc financial analysis and project work, including tasks related to recent mergers.
- Develop and implement processes for increased efficiency.
- Prepare training materials and improve the control environment.
- Review and enhance internal controls across the group.
**Candidate Requirements
- Full Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
- Trained in a Big 4 accounting firm in the UK.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Solution-driven with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong IFRS knowledge and experience discussing technical accounting issues.
- Experience in an international finance function is advantageous.
