Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one support for students with special educational needs, helping them to access the curriculum and participate fully in school life.
- Assist with the planning and delivery of tailored learning activities to meet the individual needs of students.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external agencies to develop and implement personalised support plans.
- Foster a nurturing and supportive atmosphere within the classroom, promoting positive behaviour and emotional well-being.
- Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to teachers and parents, identifying areas for development and celebrating achievements.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with students with special educational needs is essential.
- A patient and compassionate approach, with the ability to build rapport and establish trusting relationships with students.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with colleagues, parents, and external professionals.
- Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to respond to the changing needs of students and support the wider school community.
