Join a Thriving Sheet Metal Manufacturing Team as a Press Brake Setter Operator
A leading sheet metal manufacturing company based in Telford is seeking a skilled Press Brake Setter Operator to join their dynamic team. This is an exceptional opportunity to work within a well-established business, offering a competitive salary of £14.00 - £14.50 per hour (depending on experience), and a stable day shift schedule from Monday to Friday.
The hiring manager is looking for someone who has up to 2 year's setting experience on a Press Brake, experience on an AMADA machine would be preferred, but experience on a TRUMPF would also be considered.
The hiring manager would also like this person to have previous experience with sheet metal and can read and work from Engineering drawings.
What You Will Do
- Operate and set the Amada Press Brake, ensuring high-quality production.
- Interpret engineering drawings to BS / ISO standards and select the correct materials for the job.
- Conduct quality inspections of parts using equipment and gauges to ensure adherence to tolerances.
- Maintain and clean equipment to uphold workplace safety and efficiency.
- Organise the workspace to promote a productive working environment.
- Adhere to strict health and safety guidelines and regulations.
What You Will Bring
- Up to 2 years of experience in setting and operating a Press Brake.
- Previous experience with sheet metal and the ability to work from engineering drawings.
- Familiarity with AMADA or TRUMPF machines is highly desirable.
- Strong initiative and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- A commitment to quality and a keen eye for detail.
