I am currently partnering with a global financial services firm based in the City of London, who are seeking an experienced treasurer from the FS/banking/brokerage space to lead a mid-sized team during a time of growth and change. The contract will run for around a 12 month period with potential for extension.
To be a good fit for this role, you will be able to deliver senior level, strategic value across commercial and operational areas and have a strong footing across all areas of treasury in a financial services setting.
Scope of the role
- Collaborate with the Global Treasurer to set long-term goals, strategies, plans, and policies.
- Lead the UK Treasury team, delegate responsibilities, and empower decision-making.
- Oversee daily Treasury functions, including operations and analytics like funds transfer pricing.
- Develop policies and metrics to track liquidity risk at the business and liability levels.
- Provide analytical insights to support business decisions.
- Manage relationships with rating agencies, regulators, and auditors regarding Treasury activities.
- Monitor liquidity to meet margin calls and business needs; manage banking relationships.
- Handle FX and Interest Rate hedging activities, report liquidity to regulators, and optimise investment returns while ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Drive performance management with robust KPIs and targets aligned with group strategy.
- Monitor and analyse performance against objectives, delivering high-quality management information.
- Ensure the function operates within its risk framework and maintains sufficient cash flow.
- Provide leadership in recruitment, training, and development while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
