Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Department to lead our clients Commercial Property team. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) and a proven track record of managing teams, developing client relationships, and driving departmental growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Commercial Property team, providing guidance and mentorship to junior lawyers and support staff.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance the department's growth and profitability.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients, understanding their needs and delivering tailored legal solutions.
- Oversee the delivery of high-quality legal services, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
- Collaborate with other departments to promote cross-selling opportunities and strengthen client relationships.
- Manage departmental budgets and resources effectively, ensuring the efficient operation of the team.
- Stay updated on industry trends and changes in legislation to provide informed advice to clients and team members.
- Participate in business development activities, including networking, presentations, and writing articles.
Qualifications & Experience Needed:
- Minimum of 5 years PQE in Commercial Property
- Proven leadership and team management experience.
- Strong business development acumen with a track record of client relationship management.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
