Electrical Integration Technician

A great opportunity has arisen for a technician to join a leading manufacturing company who supply to various industries including Oil & Gas.

Key Responsibilities: (Key Tasks)

  • Perform the commissioning and integration of electromechanical products.
  • Work closely with customers to complete factory acceptance testing (FATs).
  • Serve as a field support technician on and offshore.
  • Ensure a safe working environment as well as maintaining and servicing the integration test areas and equipment used.
  • Interface with the engineering department on test specifications and procedures noting any deviations or discrepancies.
  • Assist product support when required with faults or problems occurring off site, carrying out any in house testing or fault finding required.
  • Be an active part of the on-call out-of-hours technical support rota once experienced to a suitable level.
  • Commission and integrate electromechanical products to the required standards carrying out any necessary repairs or modifications in preparation for FAT's with the customer.
  • Complete factory FAT's, passing on any customer requests additional to contracts either the integration supervisor or project manager.
  • Assist customers and customer representatives at all times.
  • Pass on any noted deviations or discrepancies to the Integration Supervisor or the Project Engineer.

Beneficial Skills / Qualifications:

  • ONC/OND in electric/electronics or equivale
  • 16th/17th or 18th Edition
  • Must be analytical
  • Read and understand technical drawings and procedures
  • Continuous Improvement procedures and design (desirable)
  • Technical proficiency in electronics, hydraulics and/or computers
  • Basic fault finding
  • Must be able to travel and work offshore
  • Accurate and detail oriented
  • Ability to work well with others and pick up new skills as required

Additional Details:

  • Offshore day rates will apply once the technician is working offshore
  • 37 hours per week (8.30am to 4.30pm Mon-Thurs and 8.30am to 4pm Friday with a 30 minute unpaid lunch break); flexi-time is available between 7.30 and 9am and 4 and 6pm (4.30pm on Fridays)
  • Overtime paid at time and a half after 37 hours worked
