Job Title: Support Secretary

Location: Alder Hey Hospital, Liverpool Innovations, Kilby 1st Floor L7 9NJ

Hours: Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm (please note this is a temporary role for 3 months with possibility of extension)

Trust Location: Alder Hey Children's NHS Foundation Trust

What you'll be responsible for:

  • Providing administration support to the speech and language therapy team
  • Using EMIS system to book appointment and update patient information
  • Sending out letters to parents
  • Answering telephone calls and email enquiries
  • Some use of Microsoft Office packages

You'll learn the following whilst working at the trust:

  1. An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS
  2. Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times
  3. A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation

You'll have the following skills/experience:

  • Experience and knowledge of the EMIS system (highly desirable but not essential)
  • Must be IT literate
  • Proficient user of Microsoft office packages
  • Excellent telephone manner
  • NHS experience (desirable but not essential)
