Civil Engineering - Preston
Highways/Bridges/Infrastructure/Clean Water/Public Realm
£65,000 - £70,000 p/a + £6450 car allowance
Are you a Planner with experience in the civil engineering industry? Fawkes & Reece are currently recruiting for a prominent civil engineering contractor based in Preston. Working across various Frameworks across the Northwest of England involved in Public realm, Water, Highways, Bridges, and more!
Planner Key Accountabilities
- Reporting to the Pre-Construction Director
- Produce tender stage programmes working alongside the estimators,
- Create, manage, update and maintain an internal report detailing progress of all live projects
- Liaise with Project Teams to update programmes based on progress
- Develop and manage project programmes
- Where Compensation Events / Variations are identified, liaise with Project Teams and Commercial
- Provide high-level programme extracts to Project Teams for delivery and reporting purposes
- Contribute to discussion on phasing, approach and methodology of works on site
- Review post-contract performance of projects with the Project Team
Skills and Knowledge
- Appropriate industry qualification, e.g. BSc, HND or, NVQ3 etc.
- Industry background and experience working as a planner - ideally in excess of 5 years experience in a civil engineering environment (Highways, Clean Water, Infrastructure, Bridges, Structures, Energy)
- ASTA Powerproject or Primvera P6 experience required
- Understanding and appreciation of the requirements on NEC3 / 4 Contracts
- Experience on £500,000 - £15 million projects (Highways, Clean Water, Infrastructure, Bridges, Structures, Energy)
- Experience working multiple bids per month (2-4)
- Clear, concise oral and written communications, internally and externally
- Information management skills
- Ability to quickly digest information
- Ability to motivate and influence people
- Time management skills
Package on Offer
- £65,000 - £70,000 p/a
- £6450 car allowance
- Hybrid working 2 days per week
- 40 hours per week (+early Friday finish)
