We are currently recruiting for seasonal Park Operatives (both driver & non-driver) for Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council from now through to September/October.
The role: Undertake work of a ground's maintenance and horticultural nature throughout the Parks Service.
Location: Newtownabbey Area
Hourly Rate: Driver £14.08 per hour; Non-Driver £13.62 per hour
Working Pattern: Mon, Tues, Weds 8-430pm, Thurs 8-330pm, Fri 8-230pm
The ideal candidate will have:
Experience of working within a small team
A positive attitude and flexible approach
Working knowledge of grass cutting, and grounds maintenance techniques
Knowledge of Health and Safety Regulations
As the post involves significant physical and manual handling elements, the post holder must be of a satisfactory level of general fitness
Ability to work in an outdoor environment in all types of weather
Willing to work overtime from time to time to meet the requirements of the service
Willing to work the pattern set out above. This pattern is under review and may be subject to change following consultation. Applicants must be willing to work this pattern or any other rotational shift pattern including early mornings and weekends
Additional Requirements for Driver roles:
Hold a full current driving licence, and C1+E
AND
Hold a Driver Certificate of Professional Competence and Qualification card
