Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with teachers to support the delivery of engaging and effective lessons.
- Assist with the planning and preparation of classroom activities and resources.
- Provide one-on-one support to students, helping them overcome academic challenges and reach their full potential.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting the well-being and social development of students.
- Help manage student behaviour and implement behaviour management strategies when necessary.
- Contribute to the assessment and evaluation of student progress, providing valuable feedback to teachers and parents.
- Support students with special educational needs, ensuring their individual requirements are met.
- Supervise students during break times and off-site activities, ensuring their safety at all times.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting is essential.
- Possession of an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check on the update service.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to motivate and inspire students.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
- A genuine passion for education and a desire to make a difference in the lives of young people.
- A degree in education or a related field is desirable, but not essential.
