Senior Practitioner Young People's Service

Atrium Healthcare is recruiting on behalf of a client for a Senior Practitioner in the Young People's Service. This role involves providing gender and trauma-informed support to children and young people facing sexual exploitation (CSE) through prevention and intervention services. The Senior Practitioner will act as a senior point of contact within the team, providing robust case management to ensure high-quality, effective, and safe services.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide gender and trauma-informed support to children and young people facing sexual exploitation.
  • Undertake training to become a Designated Safeguarding Officer, managing safeguarding concerns and representing the organisation in safeguarding matters.
  • Serve as a senior point of contact within the team, ensuring high-quality and effective services.
  • Deliver education workshops and training to young people and professionals to prevent exploitative relationships.
  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding policies and procedures.
  • Manage and support a caseload of children and young people, providing tailored support and interventions.
  • Work collaboratively with other professionals and agencies to support the needs of children and young people.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to case management and safeguarding.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Essential car-user with a full clean UK driving license, business insurance, and breakdown cover.
  • Experience in working with children and young people, particularly those affected by sexual exploitation.
  • Strong understanding of gender and trauma-informed approaches.
  • Excellent case management skills.
  • Ability to deliver educational workshops and training sessions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional early mornings, late evenings, and some weekends.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience in a safeguarding role.
  • Relevant qualifications in social work, youth work, or a related field.
  • Experience in multi-agency working.
