Sheridan Maine are pleased to be partnering with a growing business based in Andover, who are actively recruiting for a Finance Manager to join their head office accounts department.
The role will be reporting to the Financial Controller and will be responsible for overseeing the production of the monthly management accounts and supervising the accounts team.
Key duties of the Finance Manager role include:
- Review all monthly accounting transactions such as journals, accrual and prepayments.
- Distribute the monthly management accounts pack to senior management.
- Carry out balance sheet reconciliations and investigate anomalies.
- Produce P&L reports and provide commentary and analysis.
- Assist the FC with budgeting and forecasting.
- Undertaking the monthly payroll and liaising with external agencies such as HMRC and pension provider.
- Provide cashflow reports.
- Assist the team with day to day support and guidance.
- Liaise with auditors and assist with queries.
The role would suit an individual who is AAT qualified or part qualified (ACCA, ACA, CIMA) or alternatively, has 5+ years of relevant accounting experience. Strong communication skills are essential, as is the ability to mentor and direct others within the team when required. A high level of proficiency in Excel is necessary, along with a keen eye for detail. The company is looking for a proactive and dynamic individual who can thrive in a busy, fast-paced environment.
