National Finance & Administration Assistant - National Data & Analytics Assistant

An exciting opportunity has arisen to become part of the NDA Data Engineering Team as an Assistant. As an NDA Assistant you will be responsible for providing technical support for the data and reporting-related services used by the while Aldi GB/IE business.

As well as daily business as usual technical support, you will be required to collaborate with the team of developers, including low-level development, testing, and creating support documentation for the released projects.

Your New Role

  • Provide 1st (and for some projects 2nd) level support to both regional and centralized users from the operational business
  • Be responsible for investigating, prioritizing and resolving issues based on business impact and urgency
  • Liaise with and escalate to the developer team and/or other IT or business teams as required, to ensure timely resolution of reported issues
  • Prepare appropriate communication and documentation such as stakeholder updates or support documents
  • Identify support task patterns which can be shifted to the Global Service Desk, work on upskilling them and creating the required knowledge base articles

About You

  • Experience working with Data
  • Experience with Data Modelling; Data Validation and SQL Scripting
  • Experience of interpreting business requirements into technical solutions
  • The ability to interact with the operational business and other departments, translating technical concepts and problems into business language
  • Excellent listening, interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with a solution-oriented mindset
  • An enthusiasm for technology, whilst being customer and business focused
  • Logical and efficient work ethics, with a keen attention to detail
  • An ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively
  • An ability to effectively prioritise and execute tasks whilst under pressure

  • Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm, with the opportunity of 2 days a week remote working
