Job Title: Compliance & Quality Officer

Location: Southend, Essex

Remuneration: Salary up to £45K

Contract Details: Permanent, full-time role. Immediate start.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and communicate with the business on all relevant legislative and compliance developments impacting on the business and the Company.
  • Keep up to date with regulatory body requirements to ensure all conduct requirements are met.
  • Create implementation plans for necessary regulatory requirements.
  • Investigate compliance risks and issues and provide feedback, as necessary.
  • Ensure procedure manuals and conduct risk policies reflect current regulatory and legislative requirements.
  • Coordinate, review, update, and ensure compliance of various internal reviews.
  • Assist in audit and review processes with underwriters or regulators.
  • Assist in preparing regulatory return submissions.
  • Maintain and update the Annual Compliance Framework.
  • Promptly report any identified regulatory breaches.
  • Monitor and escalate findings to the Compliance Manager.
  • Carry out and monitor any relevant activities related to sub-agents.
  • Understand the insurance lines and team's interactions to ensure compliance.
  • Assist directors in the preparation of compliance Board papers and updates.
  • Supervise day-to-day compliance activities.
  • Perform other tasks that fall within the Compliance Team.

To succeed in this role, you should have at least 3 years of experience in a compliance role. You should have a strong understanding of regulatory requirements and be able to effectively communicate and implement compliance strategies. Excellent organisational skills, along with strong written and verbal communication abilities, are essential for this role.
