Role Overview:
As a Catering Assistant, you will play a crucial role in the daily operations of our school kitchen. Your primary responsibilities will include preparing and serving meals, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and cooking of meals following the school's menu and dietary guidelines.
- Serve meals to students and staff in a friendly and efficient manner.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen and dining areas.
- Ensure all kitchen equipment and utensils are cleaned and stored properly.
- Assist with inventory management, including receiving and storing supplies.
- Follow health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth daily operations.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a catering or kitchen assistant role is desirable but not essential.
- A basic understanding of food hygiene and safety practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team and take direction.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- A friendly and approachable demeanour.
