They are now looking to recruit an experienced Health & Safety Officer to join their busy team.
Main Responsibilities:
- Take lead on all Health and Safety activities, including creating and maintaining accurate and up to date health and safety records (including risk assessments, policies accident investigations, training).
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
- Investigate accidents and recommend measures to prevent recurrence.
- Prepare detailed reports on safety performance, including incident reports, inspection findings, and recommendations for improvement.
- Developing and implementing training programs and toolbox talk for employees.
- Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and regulatory requirements related to workplace safety.
- To ensure general administration of the Health and Safety service is carried out in an accurate and timely manner.
- Encourage and provide health and safety initiatives.
- Other duties as required to meet the ongoing needs of the company.
Experience / Qualifications needed:
- Experience as health and safety officer (essential).
- NEBOSH qualification (desirable).
- Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Full UK driving licence.
