Senior Operations Manager

Due to some successful expansion plans and expanding of multiple area of the business we are now looking for a Senior Operations Manager to work with the MD within the business. Ideally you will be from a subcontractor background with main contractor experience and can help the direction of the operational team including project managers, contract managers and site managers.

This position is best suited for someone looking to join a construction business on the verge of another round of expansion plans. As a business they have projects in place ready to almost double the turnover in the next two years. If you have exposure to external works such as roofing, waterproofing or facades this would be ideal.

This role is predominantly site based so a full clean driving licence will be required.Key Skills/Requirements:

  • Overall responsibility for the management of the Operational Team including Project Managers, Contract Managers and Site Managers.
  • Undertake a full and ongoing review of all Commercial and Operational Performance
  • Oversee the Design and Procurement functions of live projects and ensuring site teams liaise with these teams to ensure smooth operations of sites.
  • Oversee the team and ensure that they operate efficiently and in line with Company procedures and objectives.
  • Management of relationships with all Stakeholders involved in our works
  • Ensuring programme (contract and target) is progressed to time, quality, specification and budget in accordance with the company/division KPIs and client's requirements
  • Ensure all Project Managers and Contracts Managers have appropriate procurement schedules on their works to maximise financial and operational benefits from operating a "just in time" concept whilst ensuring no delays to production
  • Oversee the administrative duties within the team.
  • Protect the interests of the Company and develop good working relationships with Clients, consultants, sub-contractors and suppliers to the benefit of the Company.
  • Ensure that all contracts are delivered on time, within budget, safely and to the Clients requirements.
  • Constantly seek, through close relationships with the Client, opportunities to develop the support.
  • Report regularly and diligently to Managing Director on Business performance.
