AC Engineer
Location: Kent
Salary: GBP43,000 per year
Hours: 45 hours a week

Bridge Recruitment is helping one of our well-established clients recruit for an experience AC Engineer to join their ever-expanding team. Main purpose of the position is to carry out inspections, installations, service, maintenance and breakdowns of commercial AC and chiller units.
Responsibilities of the AC Engineer:
- Assist with the installation of new systems, and related equipment and ensure safety compliance
- Carry out repairs and deal with breakdowns when they occur, diagnose issues, perform repairs and replace faulty components
- Troubleshoot problems relating to system functionality and feedback to supervisor to promote other business opportunities
- Carry out safety checks to ensure systems meet safety standard, identify potential hazards and address any issues
- Involvement in refurbishments upgrading systems, replacing equipment and optimising energy efficiency
- Being part of the on call team (on rotation) for emergency call outs to provide on call services to address emergency issues
- Responsible for Health and Safety on site
- Completion of risk assessment, RAMs and other required processes to ensure compliance
- Ensure correct use of PPE where required
- Reporting incidents and near misses
- Ensuring the safety of others when completing works
- Carry out the servicing, repair and commissioning of boiler plant, gas appliances and plant room equipment
- Completion of engineer reports, test sheets, service records and other required documentation
- Obtain and log equipment details and part numbers in order to facilitate ordering spares
- Responsible for equipment hired / required on site and its correct logging and return
Requirements of the AC Engineer:
- Proven experience in a similar role (minimum 5 years)
- F Gas qualification
- Proficiency in using technology to manage workflow and reporting
- Customer service attitude
- CSCS Card
- Full UK Driving licence.
