About the Role

You will be providing support to our financial advisers in delivering high-quality financial planning solutions to our clients. You will have the opportunity to work collaboratively to provide unique solutions on a variety of complex cases and impact our clients' lives positively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Attending client meetings with the adviser.
  • Comprehensive research and analysis to meet client needs and objectives.
  • Preparing suitability reports and suitability letters.
  • Developing and maintaining internal relationships to help maintain business flow and meet targets.
  • Being able to articulate and present technical data to the client alongside the adviser.
  • Cash modelling, which can be complex and requires adaptability to take account of multi-jurisdiction tax and financial planning.
  • Write fully compliant, individually tailored, in-depth client suitability reports, wealth plans and financial plans within given timescales.
  • Prepare for annual review meetings and write a review summary letter.
  • Maintaining accurate up-to-date client records on databases and client files.
  • Keep up to date with FCA, SEC and regulatory authorities.
  • Maintaining good relationships across the team and between teams.
  • Acting as one of the points of contact between clients, advisors and support team.
  • Preparing and maintaining digital client files.
  • Dealing with client queries.
  • Assisting other planner team members where needed.
  • Proactively develop product and industry knowledge.
  • Ensure all reports meet or exceed expected standards.
  • Adhere to process-driven workflows.

Salary & Benefits

  • Basic salary: £38,000 to £50,000, dependent on experience.
  • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays.

Essential

  • At least 2 years experience in a paraplanning / technical role.
  • Level 4 diploma or close to it.
  • Understand the regulatory framework, ethics and principles of the advice process.
  • Comfortable undertaking research and analysis.
  • Commitment to further personal development through training and professional exams.
  • Outstanding written and oral communication with an excellent telephone manner.
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously and efficiently.
  • Ability to interact with wealthy individuals in a confident, professional manner.
  • Ability to work closely with third parties and commercial partners to achieve required client outcomes.
  • Comfortable working in a team.
  • Time management and prioritisation skills.
  • Excellent IT skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • 'Can-do' attitude.
  • Unrestricted rights to work in the UK.

Desirable

  • A degree, or degree-level qualification, would be preferred but is not necessary.
  • Experience in cash flow modelling would be preferred but is not necessary.
