Development Aftercare Coordinator

We own and manage c.7,500 homes in the east of England, working closely with other agencies and stakeholders within our communities. We build on the good foundations we have in place in being a customer-centric organisation, investing in our existing homes - including our zero-carbon journey - as well as building new homes.

We have an exciting, brand new role within our Development Team as a Development Aftercare Coordinator! This role will be to support the Director of Development and Deputy Chief Executive and wider development team as a Development Aftercare Coordinator. You will be expected to represent the organisation externally with residents and consultants to help us meet our development objectives to provide new affordable homes.

Requirements

Outline of Key Responsibilities...

  • Management of the customer care process in relation to defect administration of all new homes throughout the first 12 months of occupation
  • Respond to enquiries about defects either received via phone or in the group inbox
  • Co-ordinate, attend and monitor all 12-month End of Defect rectification inspections for all tenures
  • To conduct follow up calls to all customers to ensure the defects through the Defect Liability Period have either been completed or booked within target dates. You will be required to raise notice alerts to the builder if the customer has not been contacted within the defined target dates
  • To support the Aftercare and Sales Manager in the general management of the relationships both internally and with external consultants and contractors
  • Co-ordinate visits with new shared ownership customers before their move in date and conduct a Home Demonstration and follow up on anything they raise or anything that may be outstanding at the property
  • Work closely with Aftercare and Sales Manager, Development Project Managers, and Home Ownership Advisors to ensure that the programme of delivery is met whilst managing Customer Expectations relating to handover dates

We are looking for someone who has...

  • Proven experience of using Microsoft Office packages, including Word, Excel, Teams, Power point and CRM databases
  • Clear communication skills, both oral and written
  • Ability to communicate with a range of people, in person, in writing and by telephone
  • Good attention to detail and able to work to strict deadlines
  • Ability to organise own workload and establish priorities within minimum supervision
  • To be an effective and collaborative team member
