Dedicate Recruitment is supporting a medium size multi-Academy Trust, with schools across SE London and Kent. Their ethos to ensure 'excellent outcomes for all children and young people.'

We are seeking a highly professional individual with outstanding administrative skills coupled with a solid understanding of School Governance to help support the Local Governing Bodies across nine schools.

Working with the Chair of Trustees, the CEO and the Central Governance, Compliance and Operations Team, you will play a key role in supporting with the following duties:

  • Liaise with the Chair of the Local Governing Body (LGB) to prepare in good time for each meeting to discuss the agenda
  • Liaise with all relevant parties to collate all supporting papers
  • Take notes and minutes at meetings and provide guidance on procedural matters
  • A good understanding of Trustee responsibilities and the cycle of meetings
  • Work with the Trust Central Team, to ensure that the register of policies relating to each LGB is updated and that policies are reviewed and approved as required.
  • Ensure all compliance is in place regarding the onboarding and DBS checks of new governors and supporting the team with ad hoc duties.

You will possess a minimum two years' experience within a similar role and a Level 3 certification in Clerking of School and Governing Boards (CGI) or Level 4 certification in Academy Governance is highly desirable.

The successful candidate will bring exceptional administrative experience and can use MS Office applications confidently. First class communication skills, via phone and in writing, organisational skills and working with integrity and confidentiality is integral to this position.

The Trust offers a hybrid and flexible working model. You must be available to attend LGB meetings and to work flexibly when required at schools across Lewisham, Southwark and Bexley.
