My client is looking for a dynamic and experienced Data and Insights Manager to join their Commercial Strategy Team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing data strategies, leading a team, and delivering actionable customer and market insights that influence commercial decisions.

This newly established position offers the chance to lead a growing team, with a focus on harnessing customer and performance data to drive revenue, refine product offerings, and expand professional outreach.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the PLS data strategy, with an emphasis on creating a unified customer view.
  • Oversee the management of data systems, performance metrics, customer data visualization, market insights, and reporting processes.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the PLS Data and Insights team, enhancing our capacity to leverage data effectively for customer and product insights.
  • Provide timely and accurate customer and market data to support business development, marketing strategies, and product innovation.
  • Cultivate a data-driven mindset within the department to support informed decision-making.
  • Manage and oversee any technology development or migration projects as required.

Primary Duties:

  • Lead the development and implementation of the PLS data strategy, including data systems, visualization tools, and market insight initiatives.
  • Enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of data reporting and systems in alignment with the PLS business objectives.
  • Recruit, train, and manage the PLS Data and Insights team to ensure high performance and continuous professional growth.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing and Planning team to provide data-driven insights for the annual marketing plan.
  • Oversee the collection and analysis of market insights, research, and competitor data to inform pricing strategies and product development.
  • Improve data quality through audits and best practice processes within the department.
  • Accurately report on key performance indicators and corporate impact measures.
  • Provide ad-hoc deep-dive analysis and insights for senior leadership as needed.
  • Support the implementation of new data systems, processes, and platforms in collaboration with the Technology team.
  • Integrate PLS data initiatives with cross-directorate projects to ensure alignment and cohesion.
  • Identify and leverage data-driven opportunities to enhance sales and marketing efforts, including cross-selling across different product lines.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Extensive experience in developing and implementing data strategies and managing data teams.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to translate data insights into strategic actions.
  • Proven experience in leading technology and data migration projects.
  • Ability to promote a data-centric culture and support data-informed decision-making.

This is a permanent position working for a leading UK charity. They are offering £35,000 - £40,500 per annum based on experience. Strong company benefits including Pension up to 7% contribution, 29 days holiday, Life Assurance, Discounts and promotions, strong L&D culture.
