Our client is a finishing subcontractor based in the heart of London who specialises in creating and installing tailor-made furniture pieces for high-end residential and hospitality projects.
Your new role
As the Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will be joining an already established Quantity Surveying team and help contribute towards the successful delivery of luxurious spaces. You will need to be able to assist the Senior Quantity Surveyor in cost planning and control activities on the finishing packages. Support in preparing and analysing tender documents, including bills of quantities and contract documentation and assisting with supplier/subcontractor selection, negotiation, and contract administration.
What you'll need to succeed
- Degree or relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying
- Strong communication skills and ability to work within a team
- Experience of negotiating terms and variations with contractors
- Comfortable dealing with JCT contracts
