Responsibilities

Accounts Seniors are involved in the preparation of accounts and management accounts for limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships to draft stage, ready for review, along with assistance on audit assignments. Additional responsibilities include:

  • Preparation of corporation tax computations to draft stage, ready for review.
  • Preparation of Self-Assessment Tax Returns for individuals and partnerships.
  • Mentoring and training of more junior members of the team.

It is expected that work will be undertaken both in the office and at clients' premises as required. Work may also be necessary in another one of their local offices, so the ability to travel is desirable.

Ideal Candidate:

  • ACA or ACCA qualified, or QBE, with at least three years of practice experience.
  • Strong accounting system knowledge and Excel skills.
  • Ability to prepare Self-Assessment Tax Returns, corporation tax returns, and P11Ds
  • A positive, enthusiastic team player.
  • The ability to liaise with other departments such as payroll and bookkeeping
  • Good organisational skills, capable of producing high-quality work
  • The ability to learn from constructive feedback and develop skills within the team.
