Membership & Association Executive

Excellent hybrid role, working for the leading authority in the UK Marine sector, including the superyacht, small commercial and leisure craft.

They are a membership organisation, and as Membership & Association Executive you will work within the membership team to support and grow the company's membership base through the delivery of effective membership benefits, services and acquisition. Also to support the membership renewals process.

Responsibilities for the Membership & Association Executive will include:-

  • Supporting the Membership & Association Manager to deliver the annual subscriptions renewal process.
  • Provide Dynamics CRM support for the Membership & Association Manager and wider staff.
  • Respond to queries from members and staff regarding application criteria and process.
  • Develop reports as and when needed.
  • Support the department's activity at Southampton International Boat Show.

Association duties will include:-

  • Providing secretarial support for allocated associations.
  • Coordination of association committee/AGM meetings, papers and minutes and ensuring actions are followed up.
  • Delivering initiatives on behalf of the association.
  • Supporting the Chair to deliver good governance of the associations.
  • Working with the Association Manager to recruit new members to the associations.
  • Organising events to aid member recruitment, member networking and member retention (including dormant associations).
  • Ensuring members get the most out of their association membership.
  • Responding to member queries efficiently and effectively, going the extra mile.
  • Support the Association Manager to deliver effective membership Account Management (including dormant associations).
  • Promote association activity on social media platforms and oversee the website

This is a hybrid role, where you will be required to work at the company's Head Office (free parking) 2 days a week, the rest can be remote.

A driving licence and own vehicle is essential for travel to some events and committee meetings, some of which are via Teams.

Hours are Monday to Friday 9 to 5 (4 on Fridays).

This role will suit someone ideally with a knowledge of the marine sector.

You will need:-

  • Good organisational skills.
  • To be a team player with personal drive, initiative and discipline to work unsupervised.
  • Excellent written and communication skills.
  • Experience of delivering strong customer service.
  • Good interpersonal skills: the ability to represent the company in a credible and professional manner.
  • Experience with Committees and governance if possible.
  • Computer literate with understanding of Microsoft packages.
  • To be flexible in working practices, including willingness to travel, attend meetings and events and maintain job requirements during challenging peak activity periods.
