My client is a large commodities trading and distribution business based in Loughton, East London.
Due to recent growth, they are looking for 5 individual to join their finance team as an Assistant Management accountant.
The ideal candidate must be based within 40 minutes commute of Debden station in Loughton. This is because the role will be based predominantly in the office (minimum 4 days a week).
candidates should be part qualified in any chartered accountancy qualification.
Key responsibilities include:
- To assist with the management and processing of overheads.
- To assist with journal preparation for monthly management accounts.
- To assist with monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Working with other members of the team being responsible for credit control.
- Support the wider finance team with customer and supplier reconciliations and preparing aged reports.
- Assisting with cashflow forecasting.
- Ensure all transactions are accurately recorded in the systems.
- Assisting with transactional processing duties as and when required i.e., during busy periods and cover for
annual leave.
- Daily monitoring the accounts email inbox, saving documents in the relevant folders, and informing the
Financial Controller of urgent queries.
- You will be involved with individual projects and tasks for senior management and duties will grow as you
develop within the company.
- You may be required to perform other reasonable tasks within the finance department to ensure deadlines and
targets are met.
- Be able to work in a fast-paced environment maintaining accuracy, attention to detail and prioritizing tasks.
- Ability to work under own initiative in a team environment.
- Must be able to have good communication skills exercising tact and judgement within finance and nonfinancial
stakeholders within the business.
- Working with the Financial Controller to formulate a plan for personal development and professional
development.
