Our client is seeking a dedicated and commercially minded Assistant Management Accountant to join their dynamic team based near Letchworth Garden City. This role offers an exciting opportunity to take responsibility for the finance function of five entities within a global healthcare services business. The successful candidate will ensure accurate and timely submission of all month-end tasks, providing crucial support to the business. What you will do:

As an Assistant Management Accountant, your role will be pivotal in supporting the financial operations of our client's business. You will be responsible for ensuring an accurate and timely submission of all month-end tasks, providing crucial support to the business. Your duties will include approving payments, performing balance sheet reconciliations, providing insight on P&L submissions, and assisting with audit requirements. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to collaborate closely with HR, payroll, and project managers as a finance partner.

What you bring:

  • Commercially minded part qualified accountant with at least 2 years' experience in a similar role
  • Experience working with multi-functional disciplines including non-financial managers
  • Proven ability to work within a team to achieve common goals
  • Experience in the implementation of best in class Financial controls and procedures
  • Strong IT skills - Office 365 suite; Experience with SAP and Xero is an advantage
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work at all levels in a large organisation
