Account Executive - About the role

As a New Business Account Executive, you are a key player in driving the growth and expansion of our client base. With a primary focus on new business acquisition, this role is designed for a dynamic individual who excels in identifying and securing new client opportunities across general insurance.

There will be a small book of business available but the main focus will be new business so it should attract the new business and business development account execs. The book will be made up of construction and manufacturing clients ranging between £10,000 - £80,000 GWP.

Must be driver with access to a vehicle

Account Executive - Key duties

The main objective is to proactively generate new leads, close sales, and establish long-term relationships with new clients. The successful candidate will be supported by a skilled team of Broking & Claims professionals, ensuring they can deliver a full-service experience to clients from initial contact through to ongoing management.

Account Executive - Key requirements

Insurance Industry Expertise: Significant experience in the insurance industry, with a strong preference for those with a background in broking or underwriting.

New Business Development: Proven track record in generating and converting new business leads within the insurance sector.

Client Relationship Management: Extensive experience in managing client relationships, with a focus on understanding client needs and providing tailored insurance solutions.

Professional Certifications: Relevant industry certifications, such as those from the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) (Cert CII, Dip CII, ACII), are highly desirable but not essential.

Compliance Knowledge: Familiarity with FCA regulations and industry best practices.

Educational Background: A strong educational background, preferably with a degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.

Experience of using Acturis / Broking platforms

Must have a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle for frequent client travel
