Meraki Talent are delighted to be engaged on the role of Legal Cashier for a market leading and well-respected business based in Glasgow.
The Role
This role you will be working with the cashier team based in Glasgow ensuring timely and accurate processing of all banking transactions, posting of professional costs, processing payments and reconciliation of firm and client bank accounts.
You will be involved in the following duties:
- Responsible for maintaining client accounts, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and compliant with relevant regulations, such as the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) Accounts Rules.
- Performing regular reconciliations of the firm's bank accounts, ensuring that all entries are accurate and up-to-date.
- Preparing and issuing bills to clients, as well as handling any billing queries that may arise.
- Managing the firm's petty cash, recording expenses, and ensuring the availability of funds for day-to-day operations
- Proactively monitor the market for the latest thought leadership and best practice to allow us to be market leaders in our credit control offering and build a strong recruitment brand
- Maintaining accurate and detailed financial records, including ledgers, receipts, and invoices
- Handle the processing of various financial transactions, including receipts, payments, and transfers, both for the firm's office account and client accounts
The Candidate
To be successful in this role you must have extensive background in being able to develop and motivate a team.
- Experience working within a cashier role
- Good MS excel skills
- Strong numeric, analytical and problem solving skills with keen attention to detail
- Experience of working within a large international law practice (desirable)
