An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Junior Legal Counsel to join a leading global media advisor. The company is experiencing tremendous growth and this role will be integral to the business by providing timely, outcome-focused and commercially astute legal advice, with a particular emphasis on commercial contracts, company law, intellectual property and procurement. This role is based in Central London and requires 2-3 days per week in the office.
Reporting to the Commercial Director, key responsibilities will include:
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a variety of commercial agreements including customer contracts, vendor agreements, and partnership agreements.
- Providing legal guidance and support to various business departments on day-to-day operations and strategic initiatives.
- Advising generally upon a range of non-contentious contract, commercial and procurement-related issues.
- Updating legal agreements and legal precedents.
- Assisting with contract signing processes
- Working collaboratively with Finance and Support functions to develop and maintain strong relationships with the business, key stakeholders, and its customers.
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and attributes:
- UK-qualified lawyer (NQ - 1 PQE) or experienced Paralegal with relevant in-house experience (however all candidates will be considered on merit).
- Ideally a background in media, advertising, marketing or a digital business.
- Excellent review and legal drafting skills, with demonstrated competency in commercial contracts.
- Excellent commercial awareness and ability to work autonomously.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to negotiate, provide clear advice, and communicate at all levels of the business.
