Bom Bom Patisserie are looking for a new Café General Manager to lead the direction and growth of their café sites in and around Loughborough.

Bom Bom is growing at pace and has an exciting and ambitious future ahead. They have a "Big Hairy Audacious Goal" of selling one million cookies - enough to pave a line of cookies from Loughborough to London. It's a huge challenge and they're building a bright team of people to get them there.

Here's what they'll be expecting from their new Café General Manager

  • Working with the owners to build and execute a strategy for Bom Bom as they continue their growth journey
  • Delivering café profits through site optimisation and implementing sales strategies to achieve targets
  • Delivering customer satisfaction according to targets
  • Developing staff according to targets
  • Implementation of quarterly menu updates in their cafes
  • Organisation and leading of quarterly goal planning session with the site managers
  • Maintaining standards and furthering the Bom Bom Vision

What they're looking for from you

Bom Bom are looking for someone with hospitality management experience who has a track record of driving performance in previous roles of leadership. From there, they'll make sure you get all the training you need to become the best Café General Manager you can be within Bom Bom. A willingness to learn and an eagerness to develop in your role are key, and an understanding of what Bom Bom is about from your own personal experiences will be an advantage.

Other key bits about the role

  • You'll be a full-time General Café Manager planning and executing the strategy across multiple sites in and around Loughborough.
  • The salary is from £36,779 per annum (subject to experience).
  • It's typically five days a week (minimum 42 hours) with flexibility required.
  • You'll get 32 days of holiday per annum, January to December.

  • You are seeking constant customer interaction - customers are key to everything Bom Bom do and you will need a deep understanding of customers to perform in the role, but the reality is that this role is at a strategic and organisational level and is not customer facing on a day-to-day basis.
  • You are still figuring out how you work best - we are looking for someone who has an established and effective way of operating as a manager, is process driven, is an organiser and does what they say they are going to do, when they say they are going to do it.
  • You cannot demonstrate results in previous roles - the company are looking for someone who can hit the ground running and has a clear idea about how to operate in this role.
