Senior Project Manager - Systems Replacement - Public Sector - Glasgow 6 month contract+
I am looking for a Senior Project Manager to oversee the replacement of a core system for a Public Sector client in Glasgow.
This role requires someone who has successfully delivered similar projects from initial scoping through to requirement specification, vendor selection, and systems implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the entire project life cycle, from initial scoping and requirement specification to vendor selection and systems implementation.
- Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and budgets.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to gather and define requirements.
- Oversee the procurement process, ensuring compliance with public sector procurement regulations.
- Manage vendor relationships and ensure deliverables meet specified requirements.
- Monitor project progress, manage risks, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Provide regular updates and reports to senior management and key stakeholders.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Experience of successfully managing end-to-end system replacement projects.
- Strong understanding of the project life cycle and best practices in project management.
- Experience in requirement gathering, vendor selection, and systems implementation.
- Familiarity with public sector procurement processes and regulations.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred:
- Previous experience working within the Public Sector.
- Project Management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2).
