IT Project & Support Engineer

IT Project Engineer required to join a global organisation to enhance their IT infrastructure and support the IT Manager on a number of IT Projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in working IT projects, system maintenance, and technical support, ensuring robust network performance and security.
This is a really exciting role which will give the chosen candidate the chance to work in a blended role across both IT Projects and IT Systems Support and maintenance. You will work as part of a small IT Team which give the chance the work with a wide range of technology and systems.
Day to Day of the Role:
- Support the IT Manager in defining and agreeing on project scope, outputs, timescale, quality, and cost criteria to ensure business requirements are understood and agreed upon.
- Establish efficient and effective project delivery structures, roles, and teams within departments.
- Assist in the maintenance and upgrade IT infrastructure, including network, routers, and firewalls.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network issues and Adaptive Defence 360 system concerns.
- Manage network security and securities on routers and firewalls.
- Provide IT support to staff and address issues related to the company's systems.
- Maintain and develop SharePoint, Compliance, Exchange, and Team sites.
- Administer the company's Microsoft 365 tenant and setup.
- Manage Active Directory users, permissions, and policies.
- Deploy IT hardware and set up profiles using iTunes.
- Resolve issues with phone systems, including mobile devices.
- Support franchisees with IT-related issues.
- Create test environments for software system development and improvement.
- Assist with ad hoc IT requirements as directed by the IT Manager.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience with project planning from conception to delivery.
- Experience in working on a range of IT Projects
- Significant experience in hardware, operating systems, and software.
- Background in computer operations, technical support, systems programming, and project management.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 Admin Roles, SharePoint, Securities, Compliance, Teams, and Exchange.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Group Policy, Installation Rollout, and InTune
- Familiarity with web-based hosting, data integration, websites, and SSL certifications.
- Skilled in setting network and SharePoint permissions.
- Competence with SQL management and scripting.
