We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Learning Support Assistant to join our Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in West Drayton. This role offers a potential transition from a temporary to a permanent position for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Management and Development: Lead and develop a team of Learning Support Assistants (LSAs), ensuring effective allocation and monitoring of work. Conduct regular appraisals and provide ongoing training to enhance team performance.
- Team Leadership: Successfully line manage a team, coordinating recruitment, induction, and training processes. Efficiently manage staff rotas and ensure clear and effective communication within the team.
- Student Support: Provide consistent support to students, recognising and responding to their individual needs. Work collaboratively to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Special Educational Needs (SEN): Utilise your expertise in SEN, particularly with students who have ASD, ADHD, and other related conditions, to tailor support strategies that foster student growth and development.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in managing and developing a team of staff.
- Strong organisational and management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks effectively.
- Confidence, enthusiasm, and a passion for supporting staff and students alike.
- Demonstrated experience with SEN, including but not limited to ASD and ADHD.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to foster a collaborative team environment.
- A commitment to recognising and responding to the individual needs of students.
