1st Line Service Desk Technician

Role: 1st Line Service Desk Technician
Location: Bolton
Salary: up to £30,000 DOE

We are currently looking to recruit a 1st Line Technician to join our clients busy service desk in an MSP environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical assistance to clients via remote networking.

This role is suitable for candidates that may have completed an IT apprenticeship and has a small amount of experience in a 1st line / service desk role. (Apprenticeships are not essential - if you have 1st line experience and are looking to expand on your skillset, please apply!)

Previous MSP experience is highly desired!

Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1st Line IT Support to a variety of industries
  • Service Desk environment, answering calls, logging and resolving tickets
  • Diagnose hardware and software issues
  • Work within SLA's
  • Provide a high level of support
  • Manage and resolve tickets efficiently
  • Setting up new users' accounts and profiles and dealing with password issues
  • Provide or update documentation to help with processes
  • Prioritising and managing many open cases at one time

Technical and personal requirements:

  • Active Directory / Group Policies - Password resets, adding users etc
  • Office 365 Administration & applications
  • Knowledge of basic networking inc protocols
  • Windows Operating Systems and Server support
  • Excellent diagnostic and problem solving skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work well in a team
  • Ability to provide step-by-step technical help and advice
