Role Overview
As a Technical Author, you will be responsible for creating high-quality product documentation. This involves evaluating and analyzing complex information and translating it into user-friendly technical manuals. A passion for engineering and a commitment to delivering top-quality technical publications are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gain an in-depth understanding of our products and services, translating complex information into clear, engaging product manuals for both new and existing machines.
  • Produce and manage a variety of technical documents, including operator manuals, spare part listings, technical bulletins, and registration documentation, ensuring all are current and accurate.
  • Write user-friendly technical bulletins for product modifications.
  • Develop both print and web-based content that meets the needs of the target audience, transforming insights into effective user documentation.
  • Evaluate existing content and implement innovative improvements.
  • Generate and modify CAD models and drawings using SolidWorks 3D CAD.
  • Adhere to company policies regarding statutory obligations and Health & Safety requirements.
  • Comply with the company's ISO9001 Quality Management System and any future management systems.
  • Perform additional duties as required by management to support business needs.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Higher Education Degree in an engineering or technical discipline, or currently studying towards it.
  • At least 1 year of experience as a Technical Writer/Author or in a similar role focused on technical documentation.
  • Proficiency in technical and computer skills (SolidWorks, Pulse, Microsoft Office, ERP systems, etc.).
  • Resilience and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication (both written and verbal), collaboration, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
