Quality Inspector

Randstad are recruiting for a Quality Inspector in Bridgwater for a major civils project, for an industry leading contractor.

The successful candidate will have a track record in directly managing quality on infrastructure projects, whether that is in a quality position or a civil engineering role.

INSIDE IR35 - attractive day rate on offer

The following qualities/experience are essential.

  • Experience of Major Civil Engineering projects, preferably tunnelling or civils, including sprayed concrete lining (i.e. SCL or NATM), cast-in situ reinforced concrete lining, probe drilling, grout injection, concrete repairs, and water proofing membrane installation.
  • Strong experience working with detailed reinforcement drawings, inspection and test plans, construction procedures, and UK / International standards.
  • CSCS Card Holder (this can be obtained with the role)
  • UK/EU National or holder of Security Clearance (this can be obtained with the role)
  • Strong English written and oral communications skills -able to effectively articulate information to a diversity of people, leading to shared understanding.
  • Able to build and maintain strong relationships, and to influence delivery teams and project managers.
  • Great attention to detail with the ability to gather, analyse and evaluate facts.
  • Demonstrates initiative and resilience.
  • Ability to work within a multi-discipline team.
  • Strong emotional intelligence with great negotiation and persuasion skills.
  • Is a self-starter who manages their own time and seeks to add value to their function.
  • Competent user of modern office computer systems e.g. Microsoft Office Excel
