Senior Infrastructure Engineer – Stoke on Trent
One of our established clients in Stoke area is looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to join their team in Stoke.This is an on-site position. Looking at building, implementing and maintaining new and existing IT environments ensuing their availability, reliability and security. Looking after servers, networks, storage systems and virtualization technologies.
Day to day responsibilities will be include but not limited to:
- Install, configure, maintain server operating systems, network protocols, and storage management systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues, such as network connectivity, server failures, and performance bottlenecks.
- Conduct regular system backups and disaster recovery planning to ensure data integrity and business continuity.
- Develop and implement back up strategies to ensure data integrity and availability in the event of system failures or disasters.
- Document system configurations, procedures and infrastructure changes in the form of LLDs.
Techstack: Vmware, Hyper-V, Wsus, Active Directory, O365, Sharepoint, Skype, Windows, Linux, network protocols, storage technologies.
This would someone with strong infrastructure background with in-depth knowledge of server hardware, network protocols, and storage technologies with understanding of virtualization technologies such as Vmware and Hyper V.
Strong communication skills as you will work in collaboration with cross functional teams to support the needs of the company as of when required.
