Management Accountant - Hybrid Working - Study support - Structured Career Progression Route
One of the UK's largest and fastest-growing infrastructure and utilities services are looking to recruit a Management Accountant to join their dynamic finance team. Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, you'll play a key role in supporting one of their key business areas. This is a hands-on role where you'll be expected to hit the ground running, take ownership of your accounts, and bring a curious, proactive mindset to everything you do.
The Role
As the Management Accountant you will be responsible for the following:
- Full ownership of P&L and balance sheet for your business area
- Month-end reporting, variance analysis, and weekly forecasting
- Supporting budgeting and forecasting processes
- Investigating anomalies and driving process improvements
- Collaborating with a supportive team across three business areas
- Working with Oracle (experience not essential – other ERP systems welcome)
The Person
What they are looking for:
- Part-qualified (ACCA, CIMA, or similar) or AAT qualified
- Strong understanding of management accounts and month-end processes
- Experience with P&L ownership, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analysis
- A curious, analytical mindset
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Experience in utilities or infrastructure is a bonus, but not essential
